The enabling environment for civil society organisations in Bolivia continues to face limitations due to violations of fundamental freedoms, such as freedom of the press and freedom of expression, the instrumentalisation of justice in electoral processes, a restrictive legal framework for obtaining legal status, and the growing precariousness of financial resources, both from international cooperation and from state sources. These factors, combined with practices of stigmatisation, fragmentation, and lack of guarantees on access to sustainable financing, create a scenario of instability that weakens the autonomy, sustainability, and impact of civil society organisations.
