On 10 September 2026, the remains of Willard Vancol, who had been missing for nearly three weeks, were found following an attack by an armed group on the training centre of the Institute of Technology and Animation (ITECA) in Ti Boukan, Gressier, on 20 August 2026. Willard Vancol, coordinator of the ITECA training centre in Ti Boukan and a contributor to Radio Kominotè Ti Boukan FM 96.3, had gone missing the day after the attack, during which several other people were also injured. Since then, his family, ITECA and SAKS had been making repeated appeals to the authorities to secure his release and find out his fate.
