The Attorney General’s Office and the Ombudsman’s Office launched workshops to implement the pedagogical model set out in Joint Directive PGN-DP 007 of 2025 on Algorithmic Transparency, an initiative aimed at strengthening the protection of human rights in relation to the use of automated systems and artificial intelligence in public functions and activities of public interest. The strategy seeks to promote greater transparency, accountability and public understanding of how these technologies work.
The workshops aim to strengthen institutional capacity in order to promote the transparent and responsible use of automated systems and artificial intelligence; to improve accountability regarding decisions supported by algorithmic technologies; to prevent any potential human rights violations arising from the use of these tools; and to help the public understand how these systems work, what information they use, and how they can influence decisions that affect their rights.
Procuraduría y Defensoría inician implementación nacional de la Directiva sobre Transparencia Algorítmica
La Fiscalía General y la Defensoría del Pueblo han puesto en marcha una serie de talleres para aplicar el modelo pedagógico establecido en la Directiva conjunta PGN-DP 007 de 2025 sobre transparencia algorítmica, una iniciativa destinada a reforzar la protección de los derechos humanos en relación con el uso de sistemas automatizados e inteligencia artificial en las funciones públicas y las actividades de interés público. La estrategia tiene por objeto promover una mayor transparencia, rendición de cuentas y comprensión por parte del público sobre el funcionamiento de estas tecnologías.
Los talleres tienen como objetivo reforzar la capacidad institucional para promover un uso transparente y responsable de los sistemas automatizados y la inteligencia artificial; mejorar la rendición de cuentas en relación con las decisiones respaldadas por tecnologías algorítmicas; prevenir cualquier posible violación de los derechos humanos derivada del uso de estas herramientas; y ayudar a la ciudadanía a comprender cómo funcionan estos sistemas, qué información utilizan y cómo pueden influir en las decisiones que afectan a sus derechos.
