Event Summary
On 3 February 2026, the Council of Ministers, the Humanitarian Aid Commission and Registrar General of NGOs issued a letter cancelling the registration of four Non-Governmental Organisations namely: Darfur Victims Support Organisation, Kayan Organisation for Women’s Empowerment and Peace Building, Enjaz Organisation for Gender, Humanitarian Aid and Development and Union of Darfuri Scholars and the Experts Organisation.
In the letter received, there was no clear reason was given for this cancellation. The Council of Ministers, the Humanitarian Aid Commission and Registrar General of NGOs asked other government institutions to suspend all activities with the organisations within their jurisdiction.
