On 11 December 2025, Messrs. Patrick Nzonguma, Jonathan Yandime, and Eric Ngunde—respectively a journalist with Radio La Voix de la Mongala, a cameraman with Mongala Radio Television, and a journalist with Radio Liberté—were arrested and taken to detention on the orders of the provincial governor, under escort by the Military Prosecutor’s Office. Their arrest occurred while they were returning from an assignment in the Bongandanga territory, where they had gone to cover a political event. Upon reaching the port of Lisala, they were surrounded by personnel from the military prosecutor’s office. The reason given for their arrest was that they had encouraged the population to denounce the provincial governor’s poor governance.
On the same date, Mr. Anicet Moleka, a journalist with Radio Top Lisala, co-hosted a program with a journalist from Radio Mwana Mboka. Their guests included Messrs. Eric Bumba and Shiko. During the program, they analyzed the dysfunction of the Provincial Assembly. Dissatisfied with the content of the broadcast, and on the orders of the Provincial Minister of the Interior, Mr. Baudouin Yenga Malembe, the two journalists and one of the program’s guests became subject to judicial proceedings.

Le 11 décembre 2025, messieurs Patrick Nzonguma, Jonathan Yandime et Eric Ngunde, respectivement journaliste de la radio la Voix de la Mongala, cameraman de la radiotélévision de la Mongala et journaliste de la radio Liberté ont été arrêtés puis escortés jusqu’au cachot sur ordre du gouverneur de province à l’Auditeur Militaire. Leur arrestation est intervenue alors qu’ils rentraient d’une activité dans le territoire de Bongandanga pour couvrir un évènement politique. Arrivés au niveau du port de Lisala, ils ont été entourés par des éléments de l’auditorat militaire. Le motif de leur arrestation est d’avoir sensibilisé la population à dénoncer la mauvaise gouvernance du gouverneur de province.
A la même date, M. Anicet Moleka, journaliste de la radio Top Lisala a co-animé une émission avec le journaliste de la radio Mwana mboka. Ils ont eu comme invités Messieurs Eric Bumba et Shiko. Pendant l’émission, ils ont fait des analyses sur le dysfonctionnement de l’Assemblée provinciale.
