There were demonstrations planned for to take place on 3 April 2026, to protest two recent events by the Israeli state (the closure of Al-Aqsa, the approved Israeli law to execute Palestinian prisoners; elaborated below in ‘context’), organized by political parties and labor groups.
The day before the protest were taking place, 2 April 2026, the Ministry of Interior issued a decision banning these protests; the government justified this action by citing the security situation imposed by the war.
