Event Summary
On 14 February 2026, a drone attack by the Rapid Support Forces on the Qeisan locality in Sudan’s southeastern Blue Nile region caused several casualities. The attack targeted a civilian centre as well as the premises of the Kalsotium Organisation, a non-profit humanitarian facility that local residents rely on for essential aid. The drone attack completely raised the office premises of the organisation, in such a manner that they cannot continue the operations of providing essential aid to the community. As a result, coordination between local and international organisations will be interrupted and by extension the programs that have been running. Overall, engagement with the local population has become challenging due to fear of further attacks. There is no additional information on why Kalsotium Organisation was targeted.
